Stretching is essential before, and after any activity. Whether your jogging and playing tennis, or just going for an evening stroll around the neighborhood… warming up and cooling down are key components to staying fit and preventing injury. Failing to do so, results in muscle spasms and the susceptibility for injury. You can stretch at any fitness level, and still work on your flexibility and maintain movement.
Roll the shoulders down and back, starting with small circles and working up to larger circles. Do 10 circles backwards and then repeat forward circles.
